The GQF Model 1450 Hatcher is designed to allow for the best hatching conditions. Unlike setting incubators, hatchers usually operate at slightly different temperature and humidity settings to obtain an optimum hatch.
With five hatching drawers, the GQF Model 1450 Hatcher will hold the complete setting of the GQF Model 1400 setting Incubator. For expanding operations the GQF Model 1450 hatcher can be used with up to 3 GQF Model 1400 setter egg incubators. The 1550 Hatcher can be used to set eggs, but they will have to be turned by hand. • Moisture pan with 2 x Wick pads (Acts as absorption pads to make the water last longer)
This provides the critical humidity necessary in the incubator in order to create the perfect incubation environment. You will need to refill the water pan every 2 to 3 days depending on your humidity needs. You can purchase the automatic humidifier as an optional extra.
